Welcome

New Bridge Horizons offers day provision for service users between the ages of 19 and 25+ with learning and/or physical difficulties.

We pride ourselves on a busy, vibrant and varied environment where choice, independence and high standards are central to the opportunities available. By providing activities that suit service users' aspirations, needs and preferences we can offer a very individual programme with support from a well-trained, experienced and dedicated staff team.

What really sets us apart is the quality assurance that comes with being part of the New Bridge Group, a leading provider of outstanding, inspirational education and care for children and young people with additional needs across Oldham and its surrounding boroughs.

Personalisation and innovation are embedded in our policies, strategies and strategic thinking. Our ‘can do’ attitude is an integral part of the provision within New Bridge Horizons.

As part of the New Bridge Group we have access to a wealth of shared expertise and resources – specialist staff, stimulating environments where service users can be based, our staffing ratio, quality of equipment and our innovative solutions.

Places at New Bridge Horizons can be arranged for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hour days. Full week and individual, personalised timetables and targets are agreed and drawn up before a service user joins us. Some of our service users attend full time, some for a combination of hours that suit their family circumstances, some for 2 days a week alongside studying part-time at local colleges and there are others who attend specialist colleges full-time during term time and access our centre during their holidays.

We aim to be as flexible as possible and we are able to offer a range of hours from 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week over 50 weeks of the year. Our centre is only closed on Bank Holidays, for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period and for an additional 3 days for staff training each year.

Assistance with personal care, a range of 1:1 or 2:1 specialist support, nutrition assistance and qualified signing support can be provided if required.

Places may be funded through an individual budget from Adult Social Services, by Continuing Health Care funding or through private funds. If you are interested in applying for a place and would like to discuss how New Bridge Horizons could meet your needs, please contact us – we look forward to hearing from you!
